Jesus how often I hear and turn a deaf ear. I hear your call to redeem the world, but I think that salvation is all about heaven and not about the kingdom now. I hear your word that greater things are coming, but I like the comfort of knowing what to expect. I hear your offer of living water, but I doubt such can exist. I retreat like the Jews into accusing you of being unclear when I don’t want to hear your word.
You call us to see God through you. So how can I imagine you and then God.
You call us to see God through you. So how can I imagine you and then God.
A picture: blue sky, observation tower, white sand, breaking waves, rugged mountains, waving palms, concrete barriers, car and tent home, collections of throw-aways, warm sun.
God, Jesus, where are you?
Seeing God through Jesus calls me. Lead me Lord. Amen.
Blessings, Caroline
