To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, in you I trust;
do not let me be put to shame Psalm 25: 1
Read Psalm 25: 1-10
This week we renew the hope of the promised day
of righteousness and justice the prophets proclaimed. Our candle’s light seems so slight but our trust is in the word of our Lord.
Sing today (actually or by reading) of our trust in God.
Refrain above.To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

“My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand” (# 39 vs. 1)
Keep these words and tunes with you and let them frame your day. At day’s end, reflect on how the song influenced your living.
Lord God, you who spoke to the prophets proclaiming a time of justice and mercy; renew our hope. Give us the courage to stand firm in the conviction that the day of salvation is coming.
Enable us to hold to the promise of your return, to see the signs of your work, to entrust our whole lives to you. Amen.
