We have reached the end of the third week of Advent, the week of joy. We hear that the promised redemption is near, a cause for rejoicing. However our joy is tempered by the lack of joy of many around us. The baptism with which we enter this glorious kingdom demands we share with those without. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of justice and peace.
Ponder your own joy or lack of…
Record your thoughts, draw your images, pray your insights.
Respond to this week of Advent, the week of glory and joy, with what speaks to your inner and outer life.

Suggestions:
Many find the holidays painful rather than joyful. Be with these people in their hurt. Let your joy be a salve to them. Remember them in your prayers.
Choose a symbol of your faith and use it as the shape for a collage. Add pictures and words from newspapers and magazines to express your joy and sadness in this season.
Come Lord Jesus, come. Amen.
