The time to prepare for the coming of Christ is here. What will you do?
I have prepared a guide for the seasons of Advent and Christmastide based on the journeying idea suggested by Matthew's description of the visit of the magi to the Christ child. The booklet contains devotional reflections, activity suggestions, pictures and recipes. Each week a theme drawn from the experience of the magi is basis for the thoughts and prompts. You can do one section each day or several at once. You can do only one for the whole week. Choose what fits you and your schedule. But please do some preparation for Christmas Day and some rejoicing during the next twelve days; take some time to contemplate what God has done and is doing in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
To access the booklet go to the Saint Barnabas Church website: www.saintb.org. Click on the Education tab in the menu and then go to the Documents section. Either of the first two selections will allow you to down load the book to your computer or other device. You can print your own copy or use your reader as the source.
